  1. Cinnaminson Town is a town in Burlington County, New Jacket, United States. Cinnaminson Area surrounds the Delaware River, and also is an eastern residential area of Philly.     Cinnaminson was incorporated as an area by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 15, 1860, from parts of Chester Township (currently known as Maple Shade Territory). Parts of the township were required to develop Delran Territory (February 12, 1880), Riverton (December 18, 1893) and also Palmyra (April 19, 1894).
    Cinnaminson was created by resolution in 1860 from a section of Chester Area. Part of this resolution checks out, “The inhabitants of the town of Chester having become so numerous that it is unwise for them to meet convenience and excellent order in one setting up … the Town shall be separated.”

    The name “Cinnaminson” is said to stem from the Lenape Native American word “Senamensing,” which indicates “wonderful water”. Additionally, the name may originate from Indigenous American words indicating “rock island”.
    According to the United States Census Bureau, the township had a total area of 7.95 square miles (20.60 km2), including 7.42 square miles (19.23 km2) of land and 0.53 square miles (1.37 km2) of water (6.64%).

    The municipality borders the districts of Delran Territory, Maple Color Municipality, Moorestown Town, Palmyra and also Riverton in Burlington Region; Pennsauken Municipality in Camden Region; and also Philly throughout the Delaware River in Pennsylvania.

    Cinnaminson includes within its boundaries the convergence point of longitude 75 levels west and also latitude 40 degrees north, one of just four such assemblage points in New Jersey.
